Celebrating 150 Years of Music, Mentorship & Community
About Musicians Club of Women
Since 1875, when five pioneering women came together with a simple mission to share and explore their musical passions, the Musicians Club of Women has championed women in classical music and built a lasting legacy in Chicago’s cultural community. Now with over 250 members, MCW remains a vibrant beacon of support and opportunity for female musicians.
As we celebrate our 150th anniversary year, we honor our past, celebrate our present, and look ahead to the next generation of women shaping the sound of tomorrow.
GALA Highlights
On April 27, 2025, we celebrated our 150th Anniversary with an unforgettable gala at the Union League Club of Chicago. The evening featured a cocktail reception, dinner, and inspiring performances by Nicole Cabell, Esme Arias-Kim, Milana Pavchinskaya, Susan Tang, and MCW members. We were honored to present the Founders Award to the legendary Dame Jane Glover.
